Close up on piper O'Kane Cameron (1810 - 1890). He is sporting highland garb, and holding what is a very old set of bagpipes, likely made in the early 1800s, and possibly earlier. This is likely a set that came over from Scotland when his family emigrated.

A striking picture, though perhaps slightly distorted, of Pipe Major Neil MacVean (1873 - 1935). A native of Argyllshire, Scotland, Neil immigrated to Canada c. 1905 and was a prominent piper and instructor around the Glengarry area in the early 20th Century.
